The Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan chaired a session of the Reform Council for Legal Acts regulating the economy of the state.

Armen Yeghiazaryan the acting director of the State Agency "National Centre for Legislative Regulation” PIU” at the Government Staff of the Republic of Armenia presented the package with proposals on changes in the sector of public utilities that includes the sub-sectors of natural gas and water. NCLR thoroughly researched and analysed the procedures for connection to and services of natural gas and water supply. NCLR drafted  a proposal for amendments of legal acts regulating the procedures of applications for water supply, more specifically: procedures for installation and connection, timeframe, application forms and other related regulations.

The legal package was prepared based on the best practices from international experience. If the package proposal is accepted, number of legal acts will be revised or void, business processes and administrative procedures will be  simplified and made more transparent for businesses and citizens.
